Desire the Father’s perfect plan for your life, and make it your life long pursuit.
I’m reminded of an experience I had several years ago. I was on a flight leaving Dallas Ft. Worth Airport when the weather report came in from the pilot that we were headed for a storm. The moment we hit the storm, did we know it! The turbulence at 36,000 ft. altitude caused an atmosphere of uncertainty among the passengers. To say the least, everyone I saw believed in God and showed it; there were no atheists on-board that flight.
Through that experience, I focused on the astonishing training of the pilot. When there is zero visibility, pilots are proficiently trained to fly by instruments. During that terrible storm, the pilot and the flight crew displayed a sense of confidence and assurance and the feeling that we would make it through the storm safely was passed on to the passengers. Much like this experience is our Christian walk. It is one thing to live for Christ when you can see him on a clear day. However, it is another thing to live for God during times of the turbulence. We should stay hooked with ministries that have the mind of the Lord in the last days. Great speakers who simply speak out of their own minds won’t do it; it will take what I call ‘Advanced Christianity’ to make it through the tough times we face and will face in the world.
There are times when people can’t see Jesus because the storm around them is so intense and dark. It may seem as though God is a thousand miles away when you need him the most. When this happens, you sometimes may panic out of desperation. God’s word says for us to Fear Not. Anytime you’re facing something and you’re tempted to fear and panic, you know that the message is not from God. (Luke 10:19) (Matthew 28:5,10) (1 Tim 1:7) When you have God’s word stored in you, Fear Not because you are in the perfect will of God and nothing can hurt you. (Joshua 1:9) (Luke 10:19) (Matthew 28:5,10) (1 Tim 1:7) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Keep your hearts fixed on God daily as a way of life. Set your face like flint upon him, and then when trouble comes you can handle it with confidence in him who is able to keep you. Become God inside-minded by seeing the problem as God sees it. Everything you face, see it through the eyes of the Father, not through the senses. Being sense led feeds fear, but being spirit led feeds FAITH.
The perfect will of God is the best place to be at all times and especially during times of trouble. The absolute worst place to be today is outside God’s will for your life. The immortal Paul the apostle says it this way, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore, be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” (Eph 5:16-17:) (Colossians 3:16) You can face trouble with confidence and assurance that you’re coming out and you can count it all joy. My friend, the Devil will use storms in your life to get you over on the side of fear so he can control what happens to you, however, in actuality, he has no power to harm you (Luke 10:19) unless you give-in to it.
Should you find yourself becoming fearful, call someone who can get a hold of God to agree with you in prayer. Get the Word inside of you. Stir-up yourself on what God says about the situation. You always want to keep God’s perspective on things and remember that whatever he says is the truth and what you should live by with no exceptions.
Simply put, the life of faith is always filled with light and the life lead by sense is always darkness. See situations through the light of God because the light of God is the absence of fear and the presence of life and peace forever. Psalm 36:9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
In these final hours here on earth, I want to admonish the young generation above all desire and speak God’s will for their lives, no matter the cost. To the older generation, I encourage you to desire to leave a “spiritual inheritance” to your children, and your children’s children, no matter what the price. Nothing is impossible with God and he is not surprised when trouble comes. Those who have their hope in him will not be ashamed. (Isaiah 54:4) (Jeremiah17:7-8)
We are in the last days and times are going to get pretty rough in the days ahead. Often in a storm we can get separated from the ones we love. You may be in trouble but trouble does not have to be in you. Satan’s purpose in the last days is to get your focus on anything but God and His will for your life, to get you focused on trouble so the trouble will get in you.
The principles of Jesus will guide you steadily along God’s perfect path even at times when you can’t see Jesus for the storm. During those times, there is an inhibition to abandon your faith and give way to your fears. I think it’s simply human emotion to want to do so, but resist that temptation. Beloved ours is the life of faith, ours is to know and to walk in the will of God. Together, let’s you and I make a decision that we will be in lockstep with Jesus. Then, when the storm is over, you and I will still be standing in God’s strength and the rewards of faithfulness will be drawn to your life.
Pursue God’s best and when passion for the person of Jesus is low, focus on his principles to get you through.
May the Lord answer you in times of trouble. May God protect you and may he send you help from his Temple. May he remember all your offerings and accept all your sacrifices. May he give you what you want and make all your plans succeed. Then we will shout for joy when you succeed and we will raise a flag in the name of our God. Amen.
