  • Prayer request from South East Asia

Some of our ministry locations in Southeast Asia require creative access strategies in the midst of various restrictions on gospel witness. Our Asia Pacific commitment to take the gospel to the never reached has our missionary teams prayerfully and regularly evaluating the best way to move forward. As we are dealing with some current challenges, please join me in praying that God would open doors like never before for people and communities that have yet to be touched by the hope found in Christ.

Bangladesh has endured its most extreme monsoon season in decades. It is estimated that one-third to one-half of the nation is currently underwater, and rains are expected to continue. This follows the devastation brought in May by Super Cyclone Amphan. “We are going from one disaster to the next this year in Bangladesh,” one of our AGWM team members says. AGWM leadership and Bengali ministers are working together to provide relief. As with every AGWM ministry project, these efforts are connected with gospel proclamation. Please pray for Bangladesh and for all who are ministering there in this difficult time.

  • Prayer for healing

The pastor and entire staff of a key church in Armenia have been infected with COVID. We need to pray for their healing and for the continued life and growth of the church. Compounding the issue, churches overseas often don’t have the capacity for online giving, putting a lot of our churches in a tough financial state.

Among Chechnya’s 1.5 million people, only a handful of believers are known to follow Christ. We are praying that God would use the current pandemic to somehow open doors for the gospel to spread among the Chechen people, who are mostly Muslim. The largest mosque on the European continent is in Chechnya. Believe with us for new opportunities to proclaim Jesus, and for 15 new workers to join our Chechnya team by the end of this year.

Terrorists have targeted northern Mozambique in an attempt to create an Islamic state. Hundreds of people have been killed and thousands displaced over the past three years. A number of churches have been burned and villages attacked. In a recent incident, more than 50 people in one village were massacred. Pray for the Mozambique government, that God’s wisdom and favor will guide them in restoring peace.

  • Pray for Spain

Spain is second only to the United States in total COVID-19 cases (208,389 as of today), but has twice the density of cases as the U.S. among its population. We’re grateful to hear that the number of new cases is beginning to diminish. Please pray for one of our missionaries there recovering from the virus, for our churches across the country, and for new opportunities to share the gospel and plant churches in a nation with a long historical connection with Christianity but with relatively
