  • South Korea

The coronavirus outbreak in South Korea is second only to China’s. Recent updates report 435 new cases, bringing the total to more than 5,600. Please join me in praying for the families of the 35 people who have died from the virus, and for all of the people impacted by the remaining cases. Unlike other nations across Asia Pacific, South Korea has a strong Christian presence. May the gospel continue to advance as people seek for hope in the midst of this crisis. May God give wisdom as research teams continue to search for a vaccine. And let’s pray especially for the health and safety of all the medical personnel tasked with caring for patients.

  • Pandemic

Italy remains the primary hub for coronavirus cases in Europe. While no new cases were reported today, more than 2,500 in total have resulted in 79 deaths. We’re grateful our missionary team is safe. Travel is limited due to the number of quarantined communities. Pray that our team members and the AG in Italy will have multiplied opportunities to point people to the hope found in Christ. Italy has a long history of Christian presence, but millions of Italians have only a cultural connection with the Catholic faith.

  • Missions

Church community in Pakistan has suffered a deep loss in the death of their beloved general superintendent, Pastor Hashmat, following an extended illness. Please be in prayer for the Pakistan AG—that churches will continue to be planted, that the transition in leadership will be wonderfully God-directed, and that believers will guided by the Holy Spirit in taking the gospel into their communities.

  • Pray for missions in Haiti

Haiti is one of the world’s poorest nations, and the afflictions of poverty only multiply in the wake of natural disaster or civil unrest. In recent years, this island nation has endured both. Current protests have paralyzed Haiti’s economy and cost the lives of 17 people, injuring 200. Pray for the protection of churches and believers across Haiti, for open doors to the gospel, and for the restoration of peace.

  • Natural disaster

The Bahamas have sustained severe flooding and property damage in the wake of Hurricane Dorian. At least five people have died, and nearly half the homes on the main islands were severely damaged or destroyed. Dorian is now heading up the coast of Florida and threatening several states. Pray for rescue teams at work in the Bahamas and for the safety of all who remain in the path of the storm. Visit agwm.org and click the banner for more information on how to help those impacted by this crisis.

  • Unreached people group

The Baima of Northern Asia’s Baima (White Horse) Valley have never been exposed to the gospel. Their cultural, linguistic, and geographic isolation has blocked them off from the rest of the world. Even gospel radio broadcasts are unable to penetrate their high remote mountains.

  • Missons

The government has recently imposed new regulations on churches in Burundi that make it illegal to meet in a school building, or under a tarp, or in a building made of wooden planks or mud bricks, or in a building without an adequate roof. Burundi is the third-poorest nation in Africa, and this new legislation has hit our churches very hard. Believers are doing all they can to keep their churches open by making bricks, building walls and cutting trees. Some are even donating farmland so their church can have an adequate property to build on. Even with these efforts, the new regulations threaten many fledgling churches with imminent closure. Pray for protection of all churches and their families in Burundi. Thank you

  • Missionary

Pray for missionary Glen Barrett that their work in Great Britain will be fruitful and blessed.

  • Japan

The nation of Japan, with only a fraction of 1 percent of its people identifying as evangelical Christian, is a powerful reminder that multitudes around the world have never had an adequate presentation of the gospel in their entire history. Please join with our Asia Pacific team in interceding for the “never reached” of Japan and the world.

  • Untracked people

Pray for Turkish workers living in Germany. They come to Europe, often for better employment opportunities, but hold firmly to their Islamic heritage. Only about 1 in 1,000 Turks in Germany profess any kind of Christian belief.

  • Iran

Current headlines about Iran remind us that millions of people across that nation wait to hear the name of Jesus. Pray with me for open doors!

  • Missionary request

Pray for Sam DiTrolio, a missionary for good health and protection for him and his team.

  • Church attacks

With a second attack on Christians in Burkina Faso and the memory of the church bombings in Sri Lanka still fresh in our minds, let’s agree together in prayer that suffering brothers and sisters in faith around the world will experience God’s peace and protection in the face of continued opposition.
Let us, as well, pray for the salvation of those who have organized these recent assaults. Perhaps in your mind it seems easier to pray against rather than for terrorists. But we must never forget that the greatest missionary of the Early Church, the apostle Paul, once terrorized early believers and did his utmost to stamp out the followers of Christ. May God transform the hearts of men and women who hate the church so that they too can discover the peace and joy found within a loving local body of believers.
